NOTE TO SHOPPERS:
While we make every effort to keep our website machinery current and up-to-date, there is bound to be a glitch or two in how all the bazillion pieces of the site you don’t see interact with each other. Internet traffic, the browser you may be using, or how Mars is aligned with Jupiter are just a few of the many variables that come into play when you “add something to your cart”.
Occasionally the transfer of data from the Product Page and the Cart Page fails to update the cart and you’ll be told that your cart is empty. Please do not despair or go away mad… here’s the solution to this anomaly: after you hit the Add to Cart button immediately look at the Cart Icon on the extreme right side of the menu bar across the top of the page. If you see the number “1” (or higher for multiple purchases), then your transaction did what it’s supposed to do and you can continue. If you don’t see any number by the Cart Icon, hit the Add to Cart button again until you see a number next to the Cart Icon.
We apologize for this anomaly, and have spent many man-hours trying to find the cause of this irritation. CDS-NA is an all-volunteer not-for-profit organization and not IBM. We do the best we can with the tools and resources we have available. There is no risk to you or your credit card, it’s just a very annoying intermittent anomaly of our website.
